Derived from the Greek words homeo, meaning “similar” and pathos, meaning “suffering”. Homeopathy bases on the “Law of Similars” or “like cures like”. It has been used in the medical clinics for more than 200 years. Unlike conventional medicine where drugs or chemicals are prescribed to work against the body and its symptoms, homeopathic remedies work with the body to stimulate a healing response.
Hippocrates (the father of medicine) spoke about this concept and explained that a patient suffering from symptoms can be treated and cured by doses of a substance capable of producing similar symptoms in a healthy individual.
